COMMEMORATING WITH THE COMMUNITY

Neath Town Council has been presented with an Award for Community Engagement at a One Voice Wales National Awards Ceremony in Builth Wells. This was in recognition of the efforts of the Town Council and Neath community coming together to commemorate the 100th year anniversary of the World War. The development of the Poppy Trail was led by Jim Harle who was instrumental in working with the Town Council to develop a walking Poppy Trail throughout the Town. Jim Harle stated “This has been a tremendous honour to remember the fallen in Neath and to identify where they lived in our community and not forget their sacrifice. The Town Council have been extremely supportive of this project and have provided the funding to make this idea a possibility”.
