Neath Town Council Mayoress Christmas Appeal

As you are already aware, every year we organize events to raise money for the Appeal which is used to purchase gifts for those children who, through no fault of their own, are in care or refuges over the Christmas period. We work closely with CALAN, Social Services and Barnado’s to identify these children. Last year we provided for 200 children ranging from newly born to 17 year olds. Our total spend increases every year and last year we spent over £6,000 on gifts.

We have been fortunate in past years to have the support of local and national businesses in many different ways such as allowing toy drops, bucket collections and generous discounts on toy purchases, for which we are very grateful.

This year however our fundraising efforts have been severely curtailed due to the COVID pandemic and such things as toy drops and the previous aid you have given cannot be done. We also envisage that these restrictions will continue for some time.

We therefore ask if this year you could provide the Appeal with a cash donation to enable us to continue with the service we provide.

Any such donations can be sent to:

Mrs Lyn Rawle - Mayors Secretary
Neath Town Council, 1st Floor, 10 - 12 Orchard Street, Neath, SA11 1DU
Tel: 01639 642126

Could cheques be made payable to Neath Town Council Mayoress Appeal.

Yours faithfully

Cllr Robert Price and Mrs Sara Price
Neath Town Council Mayor and Mayoress
